Carolina Blues Festival May 18 and 19
Join us at this year's 33rd Annual Carolina Blues Festival at LeBauer Park on May 18th and 19th
Food and craft have always been a part of Blues culture in America and around the world. The PBPS wants to celebrate the culinary legacy of the Blues and support our regional food entrepreneurs. Crafts people of all sorts will also be on hand to sell their jewelry, cigar-box guitars, clothing, weavings, and all sorts of great things!
Inside the adjacent LeBauer Park festival area, we’ll hold the Carolina Blues Festival Concert (paid event) on Saturday with live blues by some of the hottest acts on the docket. On Sunday, we’ll continue the music with some more hot acts from 1pm to 5pm for FREE! Attendees of the Festival will be able step out of the Festival grounds to shop the craft market, get some delicious food from one of the many food trucks and return to enjoy the amazing Blues line up we will have!
Why Should You Join? Your contribution will allow us to continue the many programs that we offer year-round. From our participation in Blues In The Schools and Share the Music programs to our sponsorship of local Blues events and our signature Carolina Blues Festival, it’s all made possible by you. Our annual membership dues are tax-deductible, so there is no reason not to join. Get more info here
From our love of music and our belief that music is best shared in a community, came the founding of the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society in 1985. Our non-profit organization works to cultivate and preserve the tradition of blues music. Our mission is to help the youth of our community discover the wonder and joy of music by raising awareness and providing music education to our community and schools. We strive to bring quality blues events, including our Annual Carolina Blues Festival, (now in it’s 33rd year!) concerts, competitions, workshops, and educational programs to the Triad. We collaborate with other non-profits in support of health-related issues, educational initiatives, and societal concerns. Our focus is to promote local businesses, the arts, education, tourism and to make Guilford County a great place to live.
